PACKAGING

Packaging is an important part of our products, as it provides safety and durability. Our approach? As much as necessary, as little as possible. We only use FSC-certified material for our paper-based secondary packaging.

RAW MATERIAL WASTAGE

Our planet’s resources are limited. Our goal is to generate as little wastage as possible in our production. This applies to raw materials as well as to finished products, packaging or operating materials. We use analyses to determine avoidable wastage and reduce it permanently.

CLIMATE-CONSCIOUS BUSINESS PRACTICES

Our production facility complies with the ISO 50001 standard for energy management. Since 2023, YOUCOOK has been part of the Science Based Targets initiative and has set climate targets based on scientific guidelines.

BIODIVERSITY

A functioning environment requires diverse ecosystems and a high level of biodiversity. Human intervention is changing the living conditions experienced by numerous animals and plants. Our goal is deforestation-free supply chains. To promote biodiversity, we have created a flower meadow of approx. 6,000 m² near our premises.

SUPPLY CHAINS

YOUCOOK is committed to respecting human rights by satisfying clearly defined due diligence obligations. We implement solutions to safeguard human rights in supply chains – for example, through social audits or sustainability assessments at our sites.

COMMUNICATION AND REPORTING

We view the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive as an opportunity to integrate sustainability considerations more closely into our business operations. This will enable our shareholders to better understand how we address sustainability issues.

As a global company, we are aware of our social responsibility. We are fully committed to upholding and respecting human rights along the value chain; we see this as a fundamental component of acting with integrity and responsible corporate management.

We take a holistic view of our human rights responsibility: this encompasses not only our own sites, but also our supply chain. We strive to identify and assess any human rights violations as early as possible and remedy them responsibly.
